CLU Wind Ensemble to Present Almost All–Gershwin Concert

CLU's Wind Ensemble will present its fall concert on Friday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. in Samuelson Chapel. The concert will feature works by George Gershwin including a performance of Second Rhapsody by CLU piano professor Dorothy Schechter. The Wind Ensemble will perform the Cuban Overture and "Catfish Row" from Porgy and Bess. Student soloists will sing Gershwin classics "Summertime" and "I Got Plenty o' Nothin'." The CLU Jazz Improvisation Ensemble will present its premier performance with several Gershwin tunes. Daniel Geeting will conduct and play clarinet.

A freewill offering will be received.
