My CLU story began over two years ago when I entered CLU as a graduate student. As a graduate student I had the opportunity to learn from a talented and dedicated group of faculty. Their commitment to educating and passion for students was admirable. The relationships I built with the faculty and support from the campus community felt warm and welcoming. As I continued my education I knew CLU was the place I wanted to be.
During graduate school I was required to complete an internship and I eagerly began the process of arranging an opportunity to intern at CLU. I started my internship in the summer of 2008 and was graciously welcomed by the CAAR department. The mentorship from Angela Naginey was of the highest professional quality. Thankfully, the internship led to a position as an Academic Counselor at the CAAR office. Through my work, I now have the opportunity to give back to the CLU community and treat students, staff, and faculty as I was treated as a graduate student. I feel honored to be a part of CLU. The opportunities to grow and continue to learn are exponential here at CLU. I look forward to serving CLU as I continue my education in the Ed.D. Higher Education Leadership program.
I never had much experience working with international students and am really enjoying learning so many different things about other countries.
I didn't know that I was going to get the opportunity to meet students from all over the world.

Community is what brought me to CLU and community is what makes me want to stay.
