As an "alumployee" my CLU story is long and varied. I have experienced tremendous growth in my 5 years walking this beautiful campus- I've had many crazy roommates, worked in various offices across campus, been on service trips and gone back to my high school to promote CLU.
There have been good times and bad times- as a student, there were many points that I wanted to give up. But in the end, I think this is one of CLU's strong points- there were always faculty members encouraging us to press on.
I pressed on.
Now I have an office with an incredible view of the chicken coops that I used to be a departmental assistant in.
My story is not incredibly engaging or interesting but it's a real story.
Community is what brought me to CLU and community is what makes me want to stay.
By the end of the semester he was a sufficient young man.
I never had much experience working with international students and am really enjoying learning so many different things about other countries.
Today, 37 years later, I still remember my arrival and do not regret it.
