"Memories of CLU"
In 1967, my father took our family to the Rose Bowl. It was the year that Indiana played USC and O.J. Simpson was a senior. USC won. My father had heard about a Lutheran school where the Dallas Cowboys held their training camp. We made the long drive from Pasadena to the campus and found it (such as it was). I remember a picnic under the trees by the library. My second trip to CLU was last winter for my interview.
We have shared so much laughter, joy, and teamwork relating with one another and common triumphs and struggles.
Community is what brought me to CLU and community is what makes me want to stay.
Through my work, I now have the opportunity to give back to the CLU community and treat students, staff, and faculty as I was treated as a graduate student.
Working at CLU is like being part of a large extended family.
