Professional Development Day

Save the Date! May 18, 2010

The purpose of CLU’s Professional Development Day is for members of the University community to build relationships as we share ways in which assessment and continuous improvement have become a part of our practice.

This year the Professional Development Day will take place Tuesday, May 18, 2010 and will begin with morning coffee and tea followed by keynote speaker George Kuh. The morning will continue with Presentation Sessions where faculty and staff will share ways in which continuous improvement and engagement have become part of their practice.  Next, please join us for Human Resources’ Faculty/Staff Recognition Lunch.  The day will end with Info Sessions by more faculty and staff members followed by afternoon coffee/tea and Poster Sessions.

Call for Sessions!

There are two formats for sessions:

1. Presentation Sessions

Share with our University community the ways in which you have been involved in improving and strengthening the student experience. Discuss your experience, tell your stories, offer your advice. Help us understand how continuous improvement is part of your practice. Help us make connections between your area and academic or institutional quality.   

Length: 45 minutes total. Include time for interaction, as well as questions and answers.

2. Info Sessions

Share departmental information about what you do and/or tips for success.

Length: 30 minutes total. Include a 10 – 15 minute question and answer segment.

Submissions to include:

  • Name(s) of presenter(s), position title(s), department(s)
  • Title of session
  • Session description
