Music History: Dean Rob Cutietta Comments and Inspires

Description: The students of Music 302: The History and Literature of Music will present formal papers in a public reading. Robert Cutietta, dean of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California, will serve as the guest commentator.

Cutieta enjoys an international reputation as an educator, researcher and leader in the arts, serving on foundation boards and chairing multiple national commissions. He has written or co-written five books including Raising Musical Kids, and his research has appeared in publications such as the Psychology of Music, Psychology Today and the Journal of Research in Music Education. For the past six years, he has hosted the weekly radio segment "Ask the Dean" on Classical KUSC radio.
