Basic Function
Reporting to the the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, plan, manage and coordinate international undergraduate and graduate admission recruitment and marketing strategies. Develop collaborative relationships with key international constituencies, academic departments and support offices across campus, while facilitating the admission process for prospective international students.
Representative Duties
• Plan, manage and coordinate the international undergraduate and graduate admission recruitment and marketing strategies. E
• In collaboration with key campus stakeholders, build strategic admission relationships with a variety of constituencies ranging from high school to college counselors, higher education leaders and education agency managers. E
• Create and implement short and long term international undergraduate and graduate recruitment, marketing and yield strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders to meet specified enrollment goals. E
• Provide leadership and support to international student orientations and other key events that impact the international students on campus. E
• Develop new and enhance existing communication systems with international students and international education partners. E
• Provide leadership in managing the undergraduate and graduate international admission process. E
• Oversee and provide guidance on evaluation and interpretation of international transcripts, transfer course equivalencies, and advisement of students on core requirements and available majors; evaluate and interpret records as necessary. E
• Conduct admission interviews and counseling for prospective international undergraduate and graduate students. E
• Respond to inquiries from prospective international students, applicants and related constituencies promptly and accurately via email and phone regarding application status and admissions process. E
• Provide leadership and guidance to undergraduate and graduate admission staff and directors regarding market conditions and matters impacting international admission operations. E
• Host information sessions, orientations and receptions as necessary. E
• Collaborate with academic program directors, undergraduate and graduate admission offices and international education agents. E
• Develop routine letters and other correspondence as needed. E
• Interpret and explain international scholarship policies and opportunities. E
• Communicate with university personnel and others to coordinate activities and programs, resolve issues and conflicts and exchange information. E
• Maintain confidential admission files and enrollment records. E
• Select, train, supervise and motivate assigned staff to ensure proficient performance and a productive environment; conduct performance evaluations. E
• Attend staff and various meetings as assigned and as needed. E
• Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge Of
Laws, codes, ethics regulations, policies and procedures related to assigned activities.
Database and evaluation systems applicable to admissions and record-keeping.

Ability To
Travel domestically and internationally extensively three or more months a year.
Plan and coordinate graduate and undergraduate admission international outreach and yield activities.
Work extended hours to ensure communication with internal and external stakeholders across varying time zones.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Evaluate international transcripts and interpret transfer course equivalencies.
Assist in developing various publications and other outreach materials.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Make presentations to large audiences at college fairs and other education related venues.
Interpret, apply and explain rules, policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain cooperation and effective working relationships with others.
Operate a computer and assigned office equipment.
Meet time lines.
Plan and organize work.
Work independently with little direction.
Work during the evening and on some weekends
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred and four years of increasingly responsible experience in international education recruitment, admissions, or related fields. Experience with international business travel preferred.
Office environment with frequent interruptions.
International travel involving varying time zone changes.

Sitting or standing for extended periods of time to sustain long distance plane travel
