Get the Most from the New MyCLU Portal

Volume 4, No. 16

What was your first impression when logging into the new CLU portal? Were you thinking, “I’m getting a whole lot more information here than I want—or even need!”

We invite you to read on and learn how to get all that information under control and arranged in a format that is customized just for you. Begin by opening the CLU home page in a browser;  then, click the MyCLU link on the gold bar at the top. The portal opens to the portal Home page, which can be customized following directions provided below. Each light purple bar in the main section of the page represents a module (aka portlet).

Module Visibility
Tools are located in the upper right corner of each module
(Note that  ALL modules do not have every tool icon described below)

hypen(hyphen)

Indicates all module content is visible

X(X in a square)

wheel(notched circle)

Allows access to manage a specific module’s settings
(note that removing a module does not permanently delete it from the portal

1.  Select purple bar at the top of a module
2.  While holding down the mouse button, drag and drop a module to a new location
·  Reorder Module Method arrows

2.  Select a module and use the chevrons  to order by column and row

 Additional Tips
·  A removed module (portlet) may be restored by selecting the Add Module button in the upper left corner of the main window on the Home page; when the next window opens, check the box next to the module name; then click the Select button.
·  Some modules (portlets) cannot be removed from the Home page (e.g., Staff Links).
