The Night for Revenge

(unknown)

It was a night so clear, so beautiful,
That one could not have thought that,
Something so sinister, so bad
Could have happened;
Under such stars,
A vast number of stars;
Clear, beautiful, sparkling,
In such a black sky

The moon shone down on the house;
The little house where she slept
Peacefully
The little blond head full of dreams.
He seized her hair
And put a knife
Against her white throat
Saying:

"For all the pain of childhood that I suffered,
And so that you will never know
This pain,
I avenge all the nights
During which I cried."

The blood, so red
Fell, drop by drop
Onto the white blanket,
Whilst he turned towards the mirror,
Putting a gun to his head.

A cat who was sleeping
Under that clear sky
Awoke with a start
When the night rang out
The end of two lives
That should have ended
Before they could have begun.
