El Salvador :: March 15 - 24, 2008

While some people enjoyed warmth and relaxation during Spring break, others from the CLU community traveled to El Salvador for an Alternative Spring Break, working with Habitat for Humanity.

Catch a glimpse of what this remarkable service project entailed, by reading the group's daily journal that they kept throughout the week. Read their personal stories about working to create homes for the poor of El Salvador. Read about the heat, the bugs, and the dirt that they toiled in every day.

Learn about the wonderful El Salvadoran people who worked alongside these volunteers. Catch some insight about what it's like to give up a spring break at the beach for the hard, rewarding work of helping others.

Eleven members of the CLU community left on Saturday March 15, 2008 to begin working with other colleges at a Blitz Build for homes for the poor of El Salvador.
