The Cal Lutheran Experience

Exercise Science

In the exercise science department, I had the opportunity to be a member of a research team that studies the effects of concussion on the human body. I was able to study the neurological health data from approximately 1,000 participants! I had many hands-on experiences and felt comfortable asking for guidance from my professors at any time. The exercise science major paved the road to my dream of being accepted into a Doctor of Physical Therapy program by providing very comprehensive and competitive courses and experiences.

Students learn how to answer questions in their profession through the research process. Mentoring students through this process provides faculty the opportunity to stay abreast of recent developments in the field.
