Peter Woodford


Peter Woodford has been playing guitar professionally since 1969. For 19 years Peter played guitar with The Doc Severinsen NBC Tonight Show Band on Johnny Carson's "The Tonight Show." He has accompanied a diverse array of musical artists whose styles range from jazz to classical, rock to pop, and country. A partial list of artists Peter has accompanied includes:

Television credits include: The Tonight Show, The Bob Hope Show, The Tony Orlando and Dawn Show, The Donny and Marie Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Helen Reddy Show, The Hudson Brothers Show, Midnight Special, Alice, various cartoon shows, telethons, TV films, commercial jingles and "made for television" movies.

Movie credits include: Being There, The Big Fix, The California Kid, Enter The Dragon, The Girl From Petrovka, Planet Earth, Living Planet, Tales From Other Worlds, Slap Shot, Speedway, and Zuma Beach.

Theater show credits Include: Les Miserables, Evita, Man of LaMancha, A Chorus Line, Chess, Bye Bye Birdie, Chita, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sophisticated Ladies, Four Girls Four, Queen of the Stardust Ballroom, Chicago, Cabaret, Tommy, West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors, Grease, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Patti LuPone Show, Crazy for You, Sunset Boulevard.

Peter also works as a fretted instrumentalist for various orchestras in the Los Angeles area: Mandolin for the American Ballet Theater Company production of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, Electric and Acoustic Guitars, Banjo and Mandolin, on Pops and classical concerts with the Pacific Symphony, guitar/tenor duet: Barber Of Seville and West Side Story with Opera Pacific, Night of the Four Moons with Long Beach Opera, U.S. tour with the State Symphony Of Russia under Yevgeny Svetlanov featuring the music of George Gershwin.
