Technology Fee Benefits

The technology fee covers the operating costs for a variety of student services and upgrades.

Better, Faster Internet & Wireless Access

Demand for Internet access has been rising, so we have more than doubled the Internet bandwidth on the Thousand Oaks campus. The Oxnard and Woodland Hills facilities have also received an increase.

Wireless users will also notice a marked improvement with a better, faster Wi-Fi experience, thanks to an upgraded system and additional wireless access points around campus.

Gmail: Now Powering Your Account

Gmail, complete with its easy-to-use interface, 25 GB of storage, and the best spam/virus filtering around, will now power your campus email account. You asked for a better email experience—it’s here!

And More!

We’ve added new tools to interact with your professors, widespread mobile support for Blackboard, and more. Here’s a quick rundown:

Google Apps for Education – Perfect for online document collaboration with your professors.

  • LyndaCampus – Access online tutorials for a wide range of software as well as creative and business skills.
  • ConnectYard – Opens a dynamic two-way messaging channel through Blackboard for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Blackboard Mobile – You can now access Blackboard on any iOS, Android, or Windows smartphone via any data carrier.
