Founders Day Concert: University Symphony

The University Symphony presents its annual Founders Day Concert with a program that features the overture to the opera “Iphigenia in Aulis,” which was composed by Christoph Willibald von Gluck and premiered by the Paris Opera in 1774. The ensemble also presents Franz Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 99, which premiered in London in 1794. Veteran faculty member Daniel Geeting conducts.

Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major, Op. 11, features violinist Melissa Walker, cellist Samuel Grandfield and pianist Alex Avaneszadeh.
