SCULPTURE | WALK

Self-guided tour of artwork by American sculptor Richard MacDonald

SCULPTURE | WALK

SCULPTURE | WALK by Richard MacDonald is a fine art installation of 12 heroic, life and half-life bronze sculptures by American sculptor Richard MacDonald (b. 1946) at Cal Lutheran. The exhibition spans a path on the Spine, linking the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art and the Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture, traversing Kingsmen Park.

To see the images in the exhibit and read the stories behind them, an interactive exhibition guide is available and mobile accessible for a self-guided tour at http://richardmacdonald.com/sw/sw.html. Complete with stunning images plus audio and video, the mobile guide is filled with anecdotes and insights about the artist and his methods.

Work by MacDonald, one of the world’s great living sculptors and a leading advocate of the neo-figurative movement in the arts, has been featured in hundreds of solo and group exhibitions and is represented in important collections worldwide. A member of major international social and art associations, MacDonald has received countless awards, honors and professorships, including recognition by the United States Olympic Committee. He has the privilege of working with some of the greatest dancers and performers in the world, including those from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, American Ballet Theatre, The Royal Ballet and Cirque du Soleil.

SCULPTURE | WALK is made possible through the generous support of TRAC2015 (The Representational Art Conference), California Lutheran University, Richard MacDonald Studios and Dawson Cole Fine Art.
