Geosciences
Classroom in the Field
Fieldwork is essential to a geologist's education. The coursework in Physical Geology includes hands-on experience in the lab and in the field. The department's trips range far and wide, from overnights in Death Valley to the local hiking hotspot of Wildwood Park.
Pre-Med
For the Pre-Med Advising Program, Career Services works with Biology department to make sure you're taking the right classes. They can also write you a committee letter which helped my medical school application.

I took two full semesters before declaring, and I am still on track to graduate in four years with a double major. It is totally manageable and possible! It helps that Cal Lutheran has so many class options and is not overly impacted like some programs at other schools.
