Environmental Science
I take my students on geology field trips—from Wildwood Park and Tarantula Hills near campus, to Vasquez Rocks, the Mojave Desert, Owens Valley and Death Valley. Closer to Los Angeles, my Oceans class heads to the Malibu coast. In the field, students can put into context the rocks, minerals and physical earth processes they are learning about in lecture and lab.

Ever since I started taking French classes in high school, I became very passionate about the language. Learning French has opened up so many opportunities for me such as studying abroad in France and Morocco, meeting French speakers from around the world, tutoring Cal Lutheran students, and getting involved with the Alliance Francaise back home in Seattle.

Multimedia
Due to the many emphases Multimedia has to offer, I am able to collaborate with classmates who may be studying motion graphics, graphic design, and video game animation. This has also given me the opportunity to create a variety of projects from a comic book cover to cartoon caricatures.
