The Computer Science program helped pave the way to my current role as a Software Engineer/Enterprise Architect intern for VSP Global. The program focuses on all of the industry-expected knowledge points in Java, such as object-oriented programming, algorithms and software development process. Dr. Reinhart’s project in our Software Engineering class allowed me to relate many of the interview questions to a physical project that I used to provide examples on my knowledge and skills.

Classroom in the Field

Fieldwork is essential to a geologist's education. The coursework in Physical Geology includes hands-on experience in the lab and in the field. The department's trips range far and wide, from overnights in Death Valley to the local hiking hotspot of Wildwood Park.

I believe that I benefited the most from classes that weren’t highly advertised within the department, such as the Costume and Scene and Acting for Shakespeare classes. You can become part of the industry in other ways and continue to develop your acting skills, all while continuing your career path.
