Community Service Center

Promoting Leadership, Responsibility and Understanding

In keeping with CLU's mission to educate leaders rooted in service and justice, the Community Service Center creates opportunities that lie at the intersection between student interests and service.  We strive to empower students to make a difference in the community.

We can help you with

  • Brainstorming ideas for service events on an individual level or to fulfill your club requirements
  • Connecting you with related organizations in the community to volunteer
  • Spreading the word about your events to recruit more participants
  • Keeping track of your service hours for awards in the Service Honor Hour

Our areas of focus include:

  • Environment & Sustainability
  • Healthcare
  • Youth & Education
  • Global Justice
  • Homelessness & Poverty
  • Alternative Breaks
  • Research & Development
  • Campus & Community Partnerships

The CSC promotes service programs year-round, including:

  • You Got Served
  • 9/11 National Day of Service
  • Service Day
  • Blood Drives
  • Fair Trade Fair
  • Green Week
  • Trash to Treasure
  • Alternative Break Trips during winter and spring breaks
  • And many more!
