I Abhor You
David Sundby
I abhor you
romping in her garden
plucking petals
still pink pure
on the unfolded bud
silencing her yellow songbird
with one shot from a bb gun
you use to prey
on the smaller the weaker
I abhor you
shattering her safe walls
tearing her gate from its hinges
plundering her castle
of its virgins and riches
cementing together
with your slimy grope and spit
brick after brick
of a thick new wall she builds
I abhor you
lurking in black alleys
and blacker nightmares
mangled ill the grab rip
of her red shirt
your hot wax touch
burning her scarless skin
where water now beads off
like her tears you choked
