The LORD is my Shephard
Brian Hiortdahl and Maurice Schaus
The LORD is my Kindergarten teacher, I shall not
want (much).
She makes me lie down when it's naptime,
She leads me to the water fountain,
she restores my confidence.
She guides me in paths of learning
all "for my own good."
Even though I walk
through the halls filled with
big kids,
I will fear no bullies,
for you are with me;
your whistle and your clipboard,
they comfort me.
You prepare a painting table before me
in the presence of the other kids.
You anoint my boo-boos with green soap;
my milk runneth over.
Surely wisdom, knowledge, and graham crackers
will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the classroom of the LORD forever
