Funny
How I always figured grief for black
For rain
For shilding umbrellas, shut doors and go aways
And muffled sobs.
I never saw sadness through stained glass before
Filtering red and blue on weeping faces.
Turning colors to watercolor streaks.
Am I voyeur
Or a watcher of a living painting?
Moved even by this
by death
By painters creation of "Life Touched by Death"
I don't know-
I never figured grief for art.
