The Line of Friendship
Liz Clark
Through this transit world we pass ...
opening many windows,
closing many doors,
always careful not to burn the bridges
upon which we stand.
We travel many roads and unbeaten paths ...
seldom stopping long enough
to smell the roses
and make friends to guide us
and hold our hand through the darkness of uncertainty.
We draw many lines on our way ...
defending our decisions,
and finding our beliefs,
but never drawing a line of limitations
on the friendships we cherish.
Through this transit world we pass ...
growing in our faith,
testing our convictions,
always careful not to turn our back
on those we love.
