Snowflakes Fell at Dawn

Penny Jeanette Yost

Deceived by rm and your uncommitted charisma,
I entered the told-time intimacy.
Hours of deep sensations in the warm,
secluded chalet;
While snowflakes fell lightIy on the sill
of the delicate winter passion.
With graceful rhythms our bodies fell together; to
touch and embrace the nights gentle secrets. But the
morning came
and with it you gathered your cast-away clothes
in the dawns awkward silence,
Dressing with your nonchalant eyes,
while I watched the precious snowflakes
melt on the pane,
leaving small trickles of blood to drop
on the crumpled sheets
of our misguided passion.
