Love Against the Silence
Josh Banday
Lips knead each other soft.
Fingers grip for traction
In a rolling storm of girth.
Sliding into crevasses
And slipping out, gasping for air.
Rhythm like thunder
They rage against the silence.
Legs locking around
Sweat drenched lumbar,
Strain the muscles;
Not so limber.
His hands slide down her face
Past her double chin
She makes hearts with her fingers
With the hair on his breasts.
And they rest,
Swaddled in damp sheets.
