Smoke wanders from my mouth
hesitating around my mind
in a dream-cloud.
What are these images it shapes?
Maybe I should wonder
at their vagueness.
But letting the smoke dissolve
and slip away
is easier
than holding on —
than acknowledging the illusion
of enduring identities.
